Diego Ballesteros

Diego Ballesteros was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. After being adopted he was given the opportunity to start dancing at the age of 14 - training in Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz Funk, and other varying styles of dance and knew then he wanted to pursue dance as a career.

This is Diego’s 6th season as a company member with Odyssey Dance Theatre. He has had the honor and privilege to be casted in lead roles such as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, and Drosselmeyer in the Redux Nut-Cracker. Diego has been fortunate to be casted in original works from choreographers such as Christian Denice, Garrett Smith, Derryl Yeager, Bonnie Story and many more.
He has had the opportunity to create original choreography on Odyssey Dance Theatre, which is one of his proudest accomplishments as a choreographer. His work was showcased and performed in Utah and all across Germany on the company’s European Tour. Odyssey has been a huge stepping stone in his career and he is grateful for the opportunities the company and his Director have provided him.
Diego's passion for teaching and natural charisma is truly unparalled. He captivates his students through his vibrant, contagious energy and enjoys inspiring dancers both locally & throughout the country.
